Ordered full janspeed system today ,got a 4 week wait but can't wait to get it fitted as my system has seen better days .also made sure to get straight exit pipes and not the horrible slashed ones :approve:
if you are fitting system you should cut off three threads from the lower starter motor bolt .because when you have system fitted you can not get the bolt out to fit a new starter as i found out last week.
Thanks lee for the info I'll make sure that gets done.cheers Shaun ,should make a big difference ,I know everyone says yours sounds excellent . Matt ,yes I'm having the full system ,manifolds ,sport cats etc but I'm not fitting it myself I'm getting a small renault specialist in padstow to do it for me ,as I don't really have the means to do it myself ,plus I'd rather have it done properly :approve:
Has anyone tried fitting/fettling with a 406 or Laguna manifold if aftermarket ones exist for these? Probably need chopping and what not but is that an option has anyone explored that route? Could be cheaper???
When it arrives Paul, is there any chance you could weigh the new system? I don't think Janspeed offer a weight do they?
Then if you could weigh the old set up, it would give us a great note of the saved weight. Some bright spark might even be able to convert the figure to a proportionate power to weight gain in bhp. I think? Lol
Nothing will need changing on it if your going for the full system as per title because it starts from the head face which is identicle in both 1 & 2.
The pug manifolds are dreadful and a whole lot different to a clio's version. Me and a friend looked at it when we fit a 210 v6 to a 205gti. It also exits in one pipe as opposed to 2. Might be ok if you intend fitting a trophy back box mind.
