fuel smell and power steering pressure sensor

Hi Guys

i have two problems with my phase 1 after taking it out of storage. Seeing as how i live in Canada i cant just pop into a Renault dealer lol

First, after filling it up with fresh fuel, i hopped into the car to a strong fuel smell. it went away in about 15 seconds, and there are no leaks
I then got a check engine light with code P1056 which from google says-
P1056 Renault the main thing to check is to verify the operation of the VCT solenoid. You're looking for a sticking or stuck VCt solenoid valve caused by contamination. Refer to vehicle specific repair manual to perform component tests for the VCT unit
The leak detection pump is part of the evaporative emissions system. This system tests the fuel system to make sure it is not leaking fuel vapors into the air. The system pulls a vacuum on the fuel system and holds it for a period of time.
So where is this part on the clio lol

Second, i also got code P1046 Renault Possible Solution:
Power Steering Pressure (PSP) Switch Signal Malfunction The PCM counts the number of times vehicle speed transitions from 0 to a calibratable speed. After a calibratable number of speed transitions the PCM expects that the PSP input should have changed. This DTC is set if the transition is not detected. Vehicle towed with engine running Power steering hydraulic concern was repaired but DTC was not erased PSP switch/shorting bar damaged SIG RTN circuit open PSP circuit open or shorted to SIGRTN PCM damaged Check, if possible, if vehicle was towed or power steering service was performed. Observe PSP V PID while checking wires for intermittents.

Sure enough the sensor it leaking, fluid is filling the connector and it needs replaced.
This looks like the correct part to me, can someone verify?

Thanks for the help!

Check with a dealer as this number may be an old one.

This seems to be a familiar problem for cars of a certain age (Prob all of them by now). My Phase II was leaking a small amount of fluid on to the garage floor which turned out to be power steering fluid leaking through the top of the sensor. See attached pics of the Phase II part and the contortionist (SGM) that kindly replaced the item for me.

yup! Thats why mine is doing.
It's easier to get at it from the front seats haha

Anyone have any idea about the other code? Or why when i put gas in it, i get the fuel smell for a 10-15s ?

Thanks!

Might be daft but is the filler-neck drain tube blocked? Mine used to have a wee puddle around the filler neck. Sorted it by clearing out the tube.
