fuel pump

im looking to replace my fuel pump......apart from renault where else can i get one,,,,cheers...oh and is the phase 1 different from the phase 2...cheers

For a phase 1 it looks like a 6020011419 which doesn't cross ref with anything... it's an in-tank pump and then the filter is external and straps on to the tank body. If it were me i'd take it apart and see if I can find anything to replace it, unless Renault had stock and were a reasonable price.

thats whats happening at the moment ...my mates had a look at it and said hes seen the same motor/ gubbins on other cars so hes going to rebuild one for me,,,cheers :)

I have spares for these on an exchange basis, provided your housing is not damaged, if it is it gets Real expensive. I can supply the genuine pump or a high flow replacement , and the ph 1 is different to Ph2.
my numbwr is 07889 153352 Spike (not at 3 in the morning as i get grumpy)

stu1318 If you call Mr Pike on the number he has supplied he is your best bet to resolve your issue. The quality of work is beyond reproach for a recon unit, likewise his full replacement unit will more than exceed the oem unit :approve:

[ref=#000000]stu1318[/ref], did you manage to get the petrol pump fixed, if so which pump replacement did you use

If have you access to Instagram follow dh.v6 he has recently carried out fuel pump replacement by stripping the pump/sender assembly and fitting universal pump to it.
I would contact him for info regarding this.

Probably not the person you want to hear from if i shocked you with the price but a couple of pointers.

I have not seen the instagram that has been quoted nor am i interested however, when using a universal pump make sure the pump is capable of the high fuel flow required fot this motor, the pumps may look the same and am sure they are sold as suitable but there are big differences in the pumps, particularly the Bosch unit fitted to the V6. these are high flow high pressure units and do not run out of volume at the high pressures required. this is worse for the PH1 as it uses a different regulator. the pump needs to flow around 3 to 4 litres a min at a full 4 bar or the motor will starve for fuel at full throttle.
THIS IS IMPORTANT. If the motor is starved of fuel it WILL run weak running the risk of piston erosion, valve burning and cat damage, there is a reason that the list price of the genuine pump is over £300. It is not just a case of seeing the pump work and putting your finger over the end of the pipe!
Beware of chinese copies. Usually no one takes any notice of me but i do have spare valves. CHECK THE PRESSURE AND VOLUME.

Thanks Simon for the heads up, I really need to check the forum more regular.

As an update my number is still 07889 153352 for anyone wanting my services, i do have some used pumps that are good to go but not ethanol freindly. to save a debate on this the reason is the pumps are at least 20 years old.
