Probably not the person you want to hear from if i shocked you with the price but a couple of pointers.
I have not seen the instagram that has been quoted nor am i interested however, when using a universal pump make sure the pump is capable of the high fuel flow required fot this motor, the pumps may look the same and am sure they are sold as suitable but there are big differences in the pumps, particularly the Bosch unit fitted to the V6. these are high flow high pressure units and do not run out of volume at the high pressures required. this is worse for the PH1 as it uses a different regulator. the pump needs to flow around 3 to 4 litres a min at a full 4 bar or the motor will starve for fuel at full throttle.
THIS IS IMPORTANT. If the motor is starved of fuel it WILL run weak running the risk of piston erosion, valve burning and cat damage, there is a reason that the list price of the genuine pump is over £300. It is not just a case of seeing the pump work and putting your finger over the end of the pipe!
Beware of chinese copies. Usually no one takes any notice of me but i do have spare valves. CHECK THE PRESSURE AND VOLUME.
Thanks Simon for the heads up, I really need to check the forum more regular.
