i'm still in, how much are the replacement rotors? this was a big plus for me on this option, next time there knackered should'nt be such a big job

I must say i'm surprised that more people haven't put their names down for this because we all need new discs/pads at some point in time don't we - surely its best putting your name down now even if you don't need the discs/pads till later in the year? Or even next year?!

I won't be backing out because I think we're getting more desperate to keep the numbers up with others backing out, but from my point of view, the longer we leave it before closing this GB, the more chance we have of others coming forward to get the prices down :s

as a matter of interest Brett, what happened with the Ben R option you were going to take a look at? Joined the scrap heap of every other alternative brake disc options like all the others or still a going concern?

Must admit though, I think the group buy should have focused on a default set with no options to make things simpler.

Well because this group buy kicked off we wasn't going to step on any toes so were just going to post piccs up once my car and Lucy's is on the road. The Pug disks are only a matter of a few mm from being a direct fit. My car and I believe LucyJ's will be the first to be fitted with them. Once the machined spacer shim is bolted to the car, a vast range of good quality, upgraded disks are availale att 2/3rds the price of the cheapest quote I've been given for a vee. Ben has also sorted the rears too but Im unable to fit these as my wheels are half inch wider with wider tyres.

BenR option is in progress at the mo. The disks are at the machine shop along with my OEM disks which they are using for the template. With any luck they should be back next week. Ben has my car so he can fit and test them as soon as they are done and one of us will report back and put some pictures on here.

As Brett said though, because this GB is going ahead we didn't want to do anything that would interfere it with it - hence keeping a bit quiet!

The GB upgraded disks do look very nice and for a full set are a very good price :approve:

We're at 20 discs now so the middle discount option assuming no-one else pulls out.

I'm happy to run with that as it will need another 20 discs to get to the next tier and I can't see that happening in a hurry.

That means:

Fronts at £445.69 PAIR
Rears at £322.80 PAIR.
Full Car set total = £768.49 2 PAIRS.

Includes Rotors + Bells + Fitting Hardware.
Includes VAT.

I'll push for as big a discount as I can on the pads.

Still pondering TBH! Seems my discs aren't as worn out as I thought, and the MOT tester today said they were totally fine for a while yet. I will clearly need discs in the next 12-24 months, but with a cambelt due this month too .

I am going to ask for you all to get the cash to Stephen as per the instructions by the end of next week (Friday 19th).

Then we can get them made up. Stephen will confirm the delivery timeline after speaking to the suppliers (now we know the numbers).

This should fit in with everyones requirements for delivery times.

I think we can probably accept that as long as you are doing it on the day...

I'd suggest adding your "full name/forum name + Discs"
