Front Disc size?

Hi joe

Front discs APEC number is DSK2779 330mm

Rear APEC number is DSK2845 300mm disc...

I got all 4 off ebay delivered for £147 :approve:

Thanks Colin.

Trying to get some ordered from a trader on there but he was just wanting to check the diameter!

That's the guy I'm dealing with Jit, seems weird he's not sure if he's already supplied them recently! But best to be safe I guess.

Didn't speak with them, maybe took a risk and just relied on the part numbers matching.

Had confirmation that they are correct (doing the brake refresh currently), and then went for EBC Yellowstuff to go with them.

Good luck!

Jit

Jit.. Out of interest what made you go for yellow stuffs over reds??

I've got no experience with the yellows, I'm led to believe they come into their own on track or under hard use but on the flip side aren't as good at low speeds and cold temps.

Please check your discs on arrival. The way they get balanced can make the inside of the disc very thin, to a point where a disc should be changed. The eBay company tried to tell me is normal lol after lost of emails and getting ebay involved I got another disc sent through

Wow that's crazy.. I got mine about 8 months ago and only fitting them on Friday so I'll have to check tonight! [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

Yeah mate not good I kept on looking at it thinking something is not right then I noticed how thin the inside was :(

Mine seem ok, but definately worth checking!

Pads - I got a lot of conflicting advice including that the Yellows worked well from cold also, but with better high temp performance to boot! In the end had to make a decision; and decided to try them out!

I use Red stuff on my Clio 172 and Yellows on my 21 Quadra (on Clio V6 330mm discs).

The reds are OK when cold, not 100% but OK, and they get good when warm and stay good even when you hammer the tits off them on track. I have never had discernable fade on reds.

The yellows are not great when cold, enough so that you need to be aware that theyre cold in particular when coming off motorways at warp factor eleventeen down the slip roads and so on. When they get warm you feel them coming to you and you're like "actually yeah, these are OK"....this is fine until they get WARM and the pedal tightens and they start to really bite and when they get hot hot the pedal travel reduces and it's like chucking a god damn anchor out the boot.

In summary the reds are a good all-rounder. The yellows are worse than reds when cold but as they heat up they increase in performance and end up better.

Pretty much the logic I use for yellows on the front and reds on the rear, very effective combination and when warmed up they stand it on its nose, yellows do take a couple of applications to come to life but once they do they are brilliant and are great for fast road use :race: If you don't drive at 11/10ths reds all round work well and minimal dust to bugger up your rims!! :approve:
