Description below -

Here we have a Renault 19 1.8 16v executive 1995. It has the 137bhp F7P engine, and is a real pocket rocket, weighing only 1050kg. You only have to read a review or have driven one in the past to know just how well balanced and quick these cars are. One magazine described it as being a mini-luxury car with a hot hatch heart.

According to howmanyleft.co.uk, it is one of only 25 left on the road in the UK. I can guarantee that is one of the best of those in terms of condition.

It is mot'd until mid April 2013 and taxed until the end of October 2012.

It has 118K miles on the clock and has all the old mot certificates to back that mileage up.

£1000's worth of receipts from over the years.

Fully sanded back and sealed underneath – sideskirts removed and area treated etc. No rust issues apart from the tiniest little dot here and there. Nothing of immediate concern.

Recent new battery, with receipt.

Basically, all windows, electric sunroof, blowers, heaters etc work.

2 keys present (only one working fob).

V5 present and in my name.

Stereo – cd/dvd player with aux input etc included in sale.

The less positive points are as follows -

Ripped drivers seat bolsters.

A few dings and cracks on the paintwork, no heavy dents or anything, just age related marks.

The passenger side door doesnt unlock with the fob.

The auxillary waterpump relay is unplugged as it was staying on. Not an issue, the main fan still cuts in if and when it needs to, you would just need a new relay to fix.

A spot of surface rust the size of a 10p inside the drivers door shut.

The wheels have been sprayed black and aren't perfect but the tyres are all legal.

Other things to mention -

It has a brand new de-cat pipe fitted and a cone induction filter in place of the original airbox. These make it sound very nice and roarty but obviously not loud or anything as the rest of the exhaust is the standard fitment.

Overall, this is an excellent and well cared for example of a modern day classic. It has a few age related marks but certainly nothing major.

It starts on the first turn of the key every morning and holds its oil, water and oil pressure perfectly.

I really would say that the condition of the car is excellent, especially when you consider just how rare these are becoming now.

At the minute there is only one hatchback on ebay -

Sold - and collected.

Im really sad to see it go but I never got the MG ZR that I sold, out of my mind, so it looks like I'll be going back to doing head gaskets haha.
