I have had this car since November 2002! It has been a loyal servant to me since then! I have done about 60k miles and every single one of them has been a joy. These cars are now very rare and are also legendary amongst car enthusiasts
I am reluctantly selling as I have recently bought another one. The idea was to use this one as a donor car but it breaks my heart to see it stored in the shed, knowing that my only use for it is to take pieces off it. I would rather sell it and know that someone is getting the joy out if that I did
As you can see from the pictures it needs a good wash and clean as it has been sat in a barn for the last couple of months
To be honest - she could do with someone giving her a bit of TLC, which I haven't got the time to do. My big plan was to completely restore her but due to commitments this hasn't take place and it was easier for me to find another one (showroom condition that cost a little!) I have taken out the stereo and speakers, which I had fitted but everything else is there. She drives well, in a straight line and still has a lot of the power she was built with
The car is in good condition for it's age (it is 17 years old!!!!) and has been well mainatined by some highly skilled mechanics, but there are a couple of things you need to be aware of. December 2011 it had the sill replaced and some work done to the underside to replace rusted areas. This was done by a specialist company. There is a slight noise in 5th gear over 60mph - I think this may just be a case of the rods need adjusting. The sunroof doesn't work. I suspect this is a case of a new seal. There is a dent in the passenger's side front wing where someone reversed into it in the barn. It could probably do with a respray too for it to look amazing. The driver's seat has become unstitched and may need restoring. There is some rusting on the base of the passenger's side door that will need repair and also some of the exterior seals on the side windows will need replacing
The reason for low price is for a quick sale as we need the space in the barn and the previous winning buyer has financial problems. The MOT ran out in December and the car has been SORN for the last few months. It has had a lot of work done on it over the time I've had it and most things have been replaced so in good condition so it should sale through it's next one.
