Fitted new APEC front discs and pads today. Put together a quick guide:

1. Tools needed:
Ratchet
Wd40 (to loosen everything)
Tx40 and 10mm socket
Oil filter removal tool (used to push Calipers back in)
Copper grease
Rubber mallet - trust me you'll need this to get the old discs off!!!!

2. Unscrew the 2 Caliper retaining nuts from behind the Caliper - make sure bolts are clean so ratchet goes in properly.

3. Before removing Caliper tap old brake pads out - removing locking pins. Remove Caliper

4. Push back pistons in Caliper using oil filter extracter - trust me it works!!

5. Remove hex retaining screws on old brake discs - these should come out quite easily

6. Bang old discs like hell to get them off with a rubber mallet. Took me age to get off.

Well done Matt! Not fancy giving the calipers a lick of paint, or you keeping it very oem.

Keeping OEM :approve: Cleaned them up with some metal polish.

I preferred the OEM look on my car with regards to calipers too :approve: ... but it's a personal taste thing as painted calipers do look cool too as a nice detail :)
