Just bought TheRonin's BMC CDA and looking to fit it this weekend. For those who have done this on a Mk2 Vee can you offer any tips?
Thanks!

only advice i can give is use a decent torx driver, there a lot of screws to remove. its straight forward once you get the boot cover and trim off.

So what order do I need to attack the job?! I remember trying to remove the boot carpet to change the rear bulbs and giving up as I didn't want to rip the carpet...

when i changed my bulbs i managed to get my hand behind without haveing to pull away the carpet.

jj- have you fitted it yet? im waiting for mine to arrive so just wondered what it sounded like.

Fitted it on Monday without too many worries. The covers took about 1/2 hour to remove - over 20 t15 Torx bolts to unscrew!! Removing the old airbox was easy enough. Fitting the CDA wasn't too bad but I found that the engine side opening of the CDA wouldn't fit into the existing rubber pipe so I had to use the reducer they supply. It all seems to work fine and the car feels more responsive on the throttle. It also makes a much nicer, marginally louder noise, especially over 4k. Overall, a superb mod.

it fitted mine without the reducer fitted. Id remove the old air filter bracket as well, it weighs a ton :p

Is the bracket easy to remove? How is it fixed?
I've retained the rubber tubing from the inlet manifold but it wouldn't go over the 'engine side' of the CDA's fitting, seeming too small. Did you have this problem?

James - the CDA makes a nice subtle noise and gives the engine more of a bark. Performance wise it feels more responsive throughout the rev range.
