Few cheap trophies in spain

Duncan

Well-Known Member
Whilst the trophy price seems to be strong France, it seems the spanish financial situation is throwing up a few gems.

18,000 eu - LINK

This was 18,000eu but ad doesnt list price anymore LINK

15,000eu LINK

and whilst writting, cheapish one in italy 20,000eu - LINK

Love that white one with ph1 panels. Gorgeous!!

whos got a trailer!!!!!! 8)

Is the white ph1 an actual trophy car? It has full road glass inc heater element on rear screen?? Didn't know they had that.

Would love a ph1 tophy one day as a cheeky track day toy. Ph2 trophy does nothing for me though strangely.

Great finds as always Duncan :approve: :approve:

...and some quite horrendous wheels!!

Strange car for a company to choose to demonstrate headlight prowess as well.

.....agree, and also explains the two batteries...........extra one added to maximise the intensity of the headlamps.

Wonder how much they are selling it for.......

Pure speculation but I imagine it would be pretty competitive, considering I imagine there is next to zero demand for an obscure "Euro" import over in the US.

May be worth a cheeky email....

That trophy is a bit of an odd ball, prior to the US it was in from Japan being used by Bellof Japan to promote their headlights.
The car run on the circuit but did not participate to any race in Japan.

The Dash plaque number is not seated in correct position and #169 number is very high...there wasnt #169 trophies!!
I suspect it might not be original.

There is another cheap one in Italy that has been up for a while but not sold: LINK They keep dropping the price (was €22k originally) so they may be open to offers too!

EUR18.5k!! Wow. Surely something wrong with it...

Assume the weight is wrong? 1260kg? Seems way too high?

well, it might end up being a bit of a dog, but its still 3500 euros more than the white one in the first post.

20-25k seems the average price for one thats been used.

Some dude picked up onet for $5,000 September last year in El - Salvador! Although, it had an unknown electrical fault.

Potentially the price of a trophy could vary even more than a road car. If the gearbox is due a refresh plus belt change and a myriad of other stuff could probably set you back the best part of 5-10k. Then you have the whole general condition of the car which will have a big impact.

Yes the weight is wrong. They weigh 1125kgs standard.

Doing some digging, it looks like that car is indeed one of the codony sport cars and was driven by Eric Codony.

heres some info from when it was for sale previously in 2008: LINK

Looks like it has all the mechanical motorsport updates.

If it was returned to the original 1999 "24" Catalunya livery, that would a lovely car to own and I suspect that would signigicantly increase its value.

Probably sold ages ago, but you never know...
