I'm trying to get some folks to join myself and Jo on a FastChip tuning day on Friday 28th September in Belgium. We need 5 cars ideally so register your interest here, We need another 3 cars ideally.

The plan is as follows:

Saturday 29th is the Belgian BBQ so the Idea is, Head over to Belgium around midday on Thursday 27th stay in a Formula 1 hotel in Antwerp, Travel down to Henk's place on Friday 28th Get the Fastchip installed, mapped and dyno'ed, Job done. BBQ Saturday and head back Sunday Evening

Costs according to Jo will be roughly:

Hotel 34 € night @ F1 (3beds) x 3 nights (room shares are possible, bed shares are not unless you are Lee atkins :friend:   )
crossing by train: about 120€ or * £40 by Ferry as explained below)
Fastchip: max 300€ (prob. less)
Dyno with 5 cars: 100€ /car (its 500€ for a complete day)

* You can travel from Dover to Dunkerque with Norfolk Line by Ferry for £40 per car, Return.

Details will be finalised well in advance

I'm sure Jo can fill you in on the Fastchip itself but there are some pretty cool real world figure knocking around, This is NOT a simple chip change, it's mapped to YOUR car

Quotes from Jo:

the white ph1 that was at fcs with us is compleet standard, only mapped by Fastchip @1 bar. 225bhp, 277 lb ft and now i shut up before someone's gonna **** for papers and sheet's.

That guy is a genious with renault ecu's. He was at FCS with the black clio rs turbo conversion. My first engine he did was completely std, even std downpipe...229 bhp and 275 LB ft .

if you guy's arange a proper dyno, the price per car aint more then 300/350€ (max) per car. Thats maximum 237 £ (ex dyno) /car. Bit more then a plug and play chip but then you have:

a proper feulmap for youre car
a printout with you're results
a chip thats made for you're car and set up, unique
a ecu that give's you no problems, eather on iddle as on full trottle
the choose how do you want it be mapped (like rev limit, higher or std)

you name it.

Only thing is and i say it again :

Henk does only car that are in good shape to do a full remap, that means:

no leaking exhaust's
no leaking cars (fluid's)
no slippery clutches
good cooling system
good overall engine condition

and if possible: a lambdaplug in the downpipe at 10 cm from the turbo (close as possible to the turbo) to plug in a lambda to read information.

I had already discussed this with Jo, but first want to make sure my car is prepared so the engine is at its best etc My engine at the moment is tired, and in need of some re-vitalisation!!

Im having my engine rebuilt new turbo and some other bits and pieces done. if its all complete and I have some spare change then I will definitely be interested! until the works doen i cant say, as I do not know what might need chaning till its in pieces.

So for the moment count me in as a maybe........

I'm up for this - I was going to arrange summat for the Monday instead but if everyones doing the Friday then I'll go with that....thats if I have a licence of course!!!! :( :( :(

Are you sure that he has enough time to MAP 5 cars though???

If I had the spare cash, he did Phase three stuff and there was someone to take my car and I didnt have standalone, I'd be into that.

yes, if whe are in time. That means, no delays, no changing things on the car and that qind a stuff.

Make sure you're engine is in good condition because whe dont have time to do adjustments while where there.

could we Sticky this please Mods???

I'd just like to say with all the banter going on around here that I trust Jo 100% and don't believe for a minute he would put mine or anybody else's car at risk

I will also put my car back on a Dyno in the UK after it has been done, (when a dyno day is arranged) just to prove what fastchip can achieve. So let my car do the talking eh

For any one not familiar with my car, the only upgrade from standard is a 2.5" S/S Exhaust built by Tube Torque in Macclesfield

I will hopefully have a pair of standard replacement Alloy Intercoolers (If I can get some) before the Fastchip is installed but I'm sure we will get a before and after on the power graph so we can all see the gains and then as I said before I'm happy to chuck it back on a dyno in the UK should members wish to see further evidence of the benefits gained from Fastchip tuning

Stuff the dyno's. I'll give it a good thrashing before you get it back (if I rebuild it). If I can give it another one after you have it mapped i'll make my judgement from that :hi: :gizmo:

This is quite tempting. I dont have a amazing spec or anything but it would be nice to have a custom map. I just bet if i went id get all that way and then find out i had some issues or it starts detting.

The price is pretty good though, all in it still works out about as much as a superchip or something.

i wont be able to get the car over to belgium but would love to go so i would be more than willing to share the travel costs with another member that goes

mmm

look guys if you want to have fastchip on your car, you have to commit. theres a lot of work involved in setting it up. jo has to arrange a rolling road, and arrange for henk to be there. its not something you say yes to, then pull out. you have to make sure your engine is tip-top. there is no time for repairs while on the rollers. also henk will need to know the spec of your car before you go over there, as he writes the base map before. I stress this again, do NOT put yourself down unless you can 100% do it. I have one very deffinate so far and one very probable. the rollers can be 4wd, as jo will find some 4wd rollers. can you please contact me if you are serious, and i will sort everything this side of the pond. this thing needs to be sorted a minimum of 3 weeks in advance.
cheers, craig.
