Fan in sidepod

Something that someone pointed out to me at Magny Cours was that mine was the only ph1 Vee (and ph11 for that matter)that came off the track and parked up without the fan in the passenger side (in my case) running.
I just came back from sitting in a traffic jam, as usual, today and then parked up at home to monitor this. The 2 fans up front ran on until cool but the one in the side pod 'pulsed' on for about 5-10 secs and then off for a random period before coming on again. Is that normal? I am sure it used to run on continuously until something like cool or is the temp sensor device that sensitive that it cuts it off when just cool enough but a few moments of heat soak later its back on again? temp gauge is normal and no signs of any over heating but its just bugging me now.
Can someone else post their experience with this fan please?
thanks in advance.

My side fans packed up after a while as did Steve's I think. They still ran okay, we just wired them up manually but it sounds like you might have the same issue. I don't know what the problem was I'm afraid as we both resolved it in our own way.

Chances are that its knackered, if you still have one good working fan then put a mulitimeter on the good one and see what current it draws then do the same on the suspect fan.
If its drawing more current proberly needs new moter, as if its drawing to much current it may work until the electronics go into safty mode then reset when cool.

It may sound complicated but its very simple to do.

Yeh mine packed up, got Scott 2 look into them, his sparky told him it was a small electrical switch, replaced the switch and still no joy so ended up puttin them on a manual switch. Now work wen eva i want them 2. :D
