F8q vs f8m

How diffrent are the F8Q and F8M diesel engines? After changing the timing belt on my F8M engine the valves broke and now i have found a replacment from a F8Q engine. Looking at the photos its the same but is it really the same and i can just bolt it on?

best wishes,

Edgar from the East side :)

Well if its is for your Renault 9 then there wont be any coded soleniod, but what does the f8q come out of, it may have had immobilizer?

The start/ stop soleniod on some of them are coded.
On the Bosch pumps I dont think will be coded, but Lucas/Delphi might be, which pump do you have?

there isnt a pump on the set that im about to buy. I thought i can use the old pump and it was made by rotodiesel. the new part is from a 1992 1.9 diesel 47kw R19.
