I know there are many topics and a section in the knowledge but just wondered peaople opinions on fitting an after makret exhaust.

Do you need to remove the bumper and grills? I should have access to a proper ramp to do this.

Is it worth buying some clamps in preperation for mine to be seized? If so anyone know part number or sizes?

Sorry I know repeat questions must get annoying!

Well so long as your hands and bumper is lacking cracks, you'll be just fine.

PS. rear bumper removal guides in the Knowledge Base

Cheers, will print that off before i go the the garage im doing it at. Should get the exhaust next week! Probably before I get my car back home!

Got the exhaust today and trying source the clamps which as i see isnt easy at short notice. Anyone else able to confirm that the 182 ones are the same as other threads say? Going to try the motor factors tomorrow, as picking up a set or flat blades too (anyone else got the ar530s fitted, do they fit?!), and see if they can match something. Any other ideas?

I looked up the clamp for a 182 and the part number is quite different. Looking around the net it would suggest the Clio v6 part number is just a 69mm exhaust clamp fitted to many cars. Give Scott a call and ask him if he thinks the v6 clamp is very unique in some way.

ah yes didnt think to ask him. will give him a buzz tomorrow. thanks again james. will probably end up taking it with me to the motor factors and getting something to fit......i hope!

I managed to buy a couple of clamps same size as ones which came off from a local motor spares place.

No sorry mate I literally took my old one in to see iif they could match it. Aren't they called U clamps?

think a u clamp is something different. Cant take the clamps off as then cant drive the car as its my main car. cheers though mate

I think it looks like this
