ok so ive chatted to a few people regarding evo's and a friend is putting his up for sale shortly. Going for a test drive next week. Its an evo 4, the one i want. with a few choice bits, fresh evo 7 bottom end with arp bolts all round. 4 head, turbo and ecu (needs to be changed im told?) uprated clutch, coilovers and a few other bits. Imported oct 2010 but blew the original engine and sat for about a year, 11 months mot 5 months tax. White but bonnet and front bumper need a respray. 129km on the clock. Hes asking strong money for it but, 1 its local and 2 the b'e was a new supplied one.

What should i look out for?
Whats it worth ruffly?
What can i get out of it powerwise?

Id sign up on MLR but im not feeling membership until i actually decide to buy one, so come on peeps sway me for or against one
 
indeed, its the one that has always caught my eye, not stupidly in your face like the 5 onwards but not as dated looking as the 1-2-3. i like the 8 too, but a bit passed my price range.
 
Do you know the history of the car, i.e who built the engine? If its all good then yea go for it the 4 would be my choice if i was to have one.

Plus if you need someone too maintain it or fix it, i would recommend this guy Chris.

The engine was built up by my mate, ex mechanic and trust his work. It's done a few k since built back up. The car was his brother in laws before that. Never driven one so once I get a test drive I'll get a feel for it

Brilliant yea go for it mate, what colour is it?
 
It's a white one, needs the bonnet painting and front bumper really. They that bad Dave? Only other ones I've toyed with was a 5 on track but it must of been standard as I repeatedly laid waste to it in the leon round Combe
