Engine rebuild parts needed - Atmo Gordini

Hannu

Member
I had a bit of a knock on the new Atmo Gordini lump we have just fitted to my classic rally Gordini, and we pulled it apart and found number 1 piston had cracked rings and was lightly damaged.

We measure the pistons at 75.89 mm diameter and I have spare pistons and liners.

I need the following parts:

Cylinder head gasget set

Fresh set of valve springs - will GT Turbo ones fit?

76.0 mm piston ring set

Sump gasget

Big end bearing set

Has anyone got any of these parts lying around, or will I need to talk to Salv Sacco?

Cylinder head gasket set - mecaparts.com

Fresh set of valve springs - will GT Turbo ones fit? -no gt turbo ones are alot smaller. mecaparts.com sell a set of 8 race units.

76.0 mm piston ring set - mk2 r5 ones will fit as long as its a 1397cc engine - including gt turbo. (or goto mecaparts.com)

Sump gasget - mecaparts.com

Big end bearing set - FPS (ferraris piston services) sell these and the piston rings for the mk2 r5 - they will fit a 1397 cc mk1 r5. - or goto mecaparts!

lucky you, he didn't want to help me out press bearings into a turbo 2 block. - although i do appreciate that supply parts is alot less labour intensive than working on these engines.....
i also heard he was retiring?
