Engine problems

V6 Mk1 only 4600 miles.
Change the engine oil ( Motul 300v 5-40 ) & spark plugs ( Denso 0.4mm ) & superchips a week b4. I asked the guy to drop in 5.5 litres but he just put 4.5 litres. Car run absolutely fine & revs much better. Feels really great ! But just for few days. One day, i discover & feel my lovely baby performs not so good ( hear the exhaust noise but run slow ), the temp gauge shows a bit higher than usual & drop down to normal after a minute. So i asked the guy to put 1 more litre of Motul 5-40.
Still run badly. Suddenly this morning engine warning light appear & rattling from the engin bay . I took my vee to another mechanic. There's some engine oil on the spark plugs & throttle. So bad, i've to leave my car overnite & wait.............dunno what's the problem ?
Poor me no Vee this weekend or even longer period ! Anyone can tell me what's happening ? Thx.
P.S. Sorry for my poor English.

Forget to mention, tapping noise from the engine. Didn't hear that b4 the engine warning light comes out ! Thx.

Bearings U.S. ?

May be rings or pistons U.S. ?

Did you look at theoil to see if any water or emulsification, then a head gasket could have gone.

Thx TWR1. The mechanic will check for coils 2moro. Hope its just the problem of coils. So what abt those tapping noise from engine ?

Lack of oilto the hydraulic tappets.

It should have gone away afterb a few seconds unless you have a bit of muck stopping the oil.

hydraulic tappets not working due to low oil pressure caused by some serious shit if there is engine oil on the plugs - that has to be bore/ring damage or a headgasket.
Unlikely to be electrical if oils involved

So Mike, pls give me suggestion. is it easy to fix ? do i need to "take out" the whole engine ? or just the part of cylinder head ? due to labour cost, should i just put a better performance head or engine from Scott ? Thx.

Just get back my Vee. Change all 6 coils. Change 2 5-50 engine oil. Alive ! But the mechanic said if there's any tapping noise again, its time to take the head out !

Dont knw the reason. But hope its just the coil problem. Will test the car hardly 2moro 7 see. Thx Mike.

Took the Vee back for a few days. Changed all 6 coils. Still hv problems, engine warning light comes when cold start, after warming up runs fine. Sometimes even after warm up, the engine "shake" a little bit & warning light comes again ! Will it b the matter of the plugs ? Those Denso 0.4mm runs perfect on the car the first few days. HELP !!!!!!

Just to hijack a bit......my Vee was incredibly lumpy and hesitant for ages there over the summer. I have sinced started to use 97/super unleaded and the difference in performance/driveability/response is incredible. I would recomend anyone who uses 95 not to!

Just change those Denso 0.4mm plugs back to NGK. Vee runs perfectly ! Thx God ! Its time to hv car wash now !
