For Sale ECU services

Pyren is using Clip database, so the data structure is the same. ECU -> System parameters -> Illumination/preheating -> ET089 (Fywheel target programming). Sorry, can't check it myself, both my Chinese Clips are broken.

I connected the meg ecu up to the Kangoo today for a test run and seen the ecu/live data on clip but immobilised, also could read the clock config. The vin/vehicle type came up as megane. I noticed i could not read uch or other Kangoo modules at this point.20201122_145520.jpg

I done a virgin file, plugged ecu in and with ign on, Kangoo vin came up. Force re read computers and could not read engine or clocks and could read the rest. Ecu was powered up and working, could hear throttle body moving when pedal pressed.

As i thought id done it wrong/to check ecu, i reflashed old immob data on was same as first try, immobilised but able to read engine ecu and clocks.

Im not ready to start yet as no fuel system so could not attempt a start. Should i be able to read ecu and parameters when virgin with ign on?

Clip takes the VIN from ECU so with your old immo data, it will recognize ECU and clocks, because they fit Clip database for a Megane. When the ECU is virginized, Clip tries to obtain VIN from other modules, so the ECU is not recognized as it doesn't fit the database entry of your Kangoo (I assume it wasn't S3000 ECU originally).
You can try to modify Clip database, but I think writing VIN with DDT4ALL or Pyren will be much easier, as they are not as fussy about compliance with VIN database.
One thing you can try with Clip, manually enter this VIN when connecting: VF1FW0WC541266230
When I was playing with immo and no engine installed, i disconnected fuel pump and wired blinker bulb in place of starter and it worked fine.

Great info thanks. Really hard to find info on the net about stuff like this.

So if i re virgin the ecu then write the vin on the ecu to match Kangoo uch on ddt4all it might work.

I have took a copy of original delphi dcm 1.2 95160 data tonight. Its the same size 2kb as the Sagem s3000, would it be possible to write this to the chip or risk bricking the ecu as not from the same brand?

Might give it a go. Been comparing the bin files tonight, I can see the Kangoo vin on the hex editor, but cant see the r26 vin or its incorrect.

Will revisit this weekend with ddt4all.

For the eco stuff you need a BIC module, it takes CAN data from the car and transfers it to the MediaNav unit. Don't know about the RHD version, but the LHD has it located on the right side of the dashboard. BTW, you can have Android Auto on this device.
Hello, sorry I hadn't seen your reply before. I thought that the Win CE based medianav evolution wasn't up to the task of Android Auto? Can you PM me if it is possible please? Will have a dig around for the BIC module. Thanks

How are the chinese clip units ? worth buying for very occasional use ?
