Just out of interest has any body used these tyres instead of there Pilot sport?

The pattern looks awsome but wot about the grip would you say there better than the pilots or round about the same.

To me they seem very similar. Grip and feel in the dry is good and I can silde through corners nicely. In the wet my Gran drives faster than me so can't really comment too much.

Cheers for that mite give em a bash wen i re new my tyres then, the around the same kinda price so i imagine the give a similar performance

Im using them at the minute, they seem ok but the roads are so greesy its hard to get grip.High speed stabilty seems good.

Was looking to get them from http://www.mytyres.co.uk

Rears looking at around the £124.50 including VAT + P+P
but not fitting.
Where as the pilot sport 2 are £168.70 including VAT + P+P

Could be a worthwhile saving if there just as good :D

Not had the F1's on the Vee, but did have them on my Williams & Escort Cosworth some years ago, and they were awesome, though did wear down quickly!

Toyo T1s were good too. More progressive feel than pilots.
Not tried Toyo T1r yet or Pilot Sport 2. My experience was with Pilot Sport 1.
Will have ToyoR888s for this summer.

Tim, talk to me before you buy those Toyos - I can get them and very, very cheap. They're our fleet supplier.

I ran F1 GSD3s on my 172 and they're great tyres. Superb in the dry, and far better than almost everything else in the wet. In fact the wet grip is dangerous since you push more than you usually would, until of course you discover they still do have a limit .

I know on Mk1 17" wheels there is more tyre choice, but do any of the Mk2 or Mk2 wheel owning drivers know what choice there is for 18" wheels please :?:
