Dzus fasteners

Anyone know where I can pick up some new ones of these for a reasonable price?

I know RPD have them but the price is ridiculous, so am looking for other options first.

I tried fleabay & probolt.com but can't source any that are the size of those in the Vee.

I have new bolts but just can't source the fasteners.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Have you tried motorbike shops? They use them on the panniers etc.

Hi Matt,

Been looking online & i admit mostly at motorbike shops as they seem to use them a lot on the fairings but no joy, they're all smaller than the Vee's.

There's a couple who say they've got good connections with Dzus but before I email them to ask if they can ask Dzus themselves I was trying here.

If no joy here I'll be onto the couple of places I mentioned.

To give you some idea of price difference, I got some adonised ones online ( albeit smaller ones inc the bolts that didn't quite fit! ) for 1/10th the price RPD quoted just for the fasteners.

Demon tweaks ones look very similar to others I've seen that aren't the right size ( plus no measurements avail on those shown at Demon T ) but there's some in the SouthCo magazine that James referenced that are a perfect match size wise ( D8 Dzus panex size 9, pg 301 ) so I'm trying track down a supplier who has them as SouthCo use different suppliers for each country.

I'll keep you posted if I have any luck.

I've had some success tracking down these at a far more reasonable & realistic price.

So far the supplier I contacted can get the clips & is working on the studs, so should have an answer for those shortly.

The supplier wants to know how many people might be interested as he can offer reduced prices if he orders in bulk i.e 500 pieces. For info the stud prices range from approx £3.14 down to £2.17 depending on quantity the supplier orders, the clips he mentioned for around 50p but i need to confirm on that.

Below you can see the state of my old ones vs new.

If anyone is interested, just let me know & i'll pass that info back to the supplier following that he can decide what quantity to purchase & the final prices he can give us.

p.s the stud I show in my pic with the new clip I got from Bill Patchall and is shown for reference, the supplier is still working on those but I don't doubt he can get them as he managed to sort out the clips

Hi Pete,

In a word, no. I'm still trying to track those down, so for now it's just the studs & clips.

I'll let you know if I have any joy for the original style retaining washers.

I've temporarily gone for nylon washers to replace the old retaining washers ( broke all mine getting them off ) & brass washers for on top of the engine cover as they look a bit tidier than the old silver ones.
