on a clio v6 mk1?

I suppose anything is possible with enough money and research/planning/development...

But would it be worth it?

How much would you think I would be looking at?

Anyone done it?

I'm not sure that there is enough room as effectively DSG is two gearboxes and two clutches and the transverse V6 means that the space for the gearbox is finite. If it did fit you'd have a nightmare programming the electronics, both for the 'box and the engine which would need MoTec or similar to output the change data for the box. You'd also need to re-engineer the driveshafts and all the mounts.

The cost would be huge and if you want DSG it would be cheaper to sell the V6 and buy a VW/Audi.

Sequential is an option but a few minutes of the noise and general din and you'll understand why Mike T has an intercom to speak to passengers and why I wear a crash helmet!

We've been debating 4WD conversion which is a big enough engineering challenge but at least there would be an advantage (grip) but what benefits were you hoping for with DSG?

it would be about £20-£30k and require a significant ammount of reengineering - sequential is less at half the cost
