Don't lose your underbonnet tray

Hi,
As a few of you know my phase 1 came without this when i bought it in Jan, ordered a replacement in February, despite being about £230 lighter im yet to see the luggage tray (thats with discount rrp £280 ish). The dealer gave me renaults number to contact them directly from now on.. im supposed to be on a 'critical path' or something now but they said there are problems with the supplier and have been some delays..(im presuming the supplier is out of business or not wanting to tool up to make a 1 off, not sure)
I made a point of saying my (our) car/s are surely one of the most important models for Renault, a driving advertisement for the company and the lack of support was dissapointing, the lady agreed with this and assured me I will be given a weekly update, i will let you know how i get on.
supposed to be camping soon so trying to fit in a tent , a girlfriend and all the stuff girlfriends come with, nightmare!..
anyway at least its driveable, even tho the starter motor still sounds like its got swine flu.

Not totally unexpected with such a limited run car, but annoying all the same. :(

Have you considered borrowing one from an member near you?

Not something I would want to borrow really, just incase , if u know what i mean.

Will see what happens, if it transpires that the part will never be available I will have to look at possibly making / having something made to go in that space. Need to consider the material though not sure how hot it gets in there? im assuming the standard item is gfrp.
Will also keep an eye out for any cars being broken with an intact front end.

If you ordered it from Lookers in Chester you will still be waiting for it this time next year, I waited 11 months 4 days for the V6 badge for the tailgate.

Does anyone know if there is much difference between the tray fitted to mk1 and 2? will a mk2 fit my mk1 ?

Cheers mate, its sorted now off Minerton, just waiting delivery then I can tell you if a Mk2 tray really will fit a mk1, im sure it will with some pursuasion [smilie=badpc.gif]

incidently when cancelling the order, the dealer practically told me that I could wait up to 12 months for a part (refering to Nigels wait of 11 months 4 days for a v6 badge above)

who needs dealers when you got v6clio.net :)
