Donnington Sun Burn and traffic jams

Summary of Sunday for me; At least 24 Vee's, at least 32 Top Totty eye-balled, a 2 and a half hour queue to get out of the place followed by a 2 hour dash on and off the M1 dicing with fellow Renault owners of all types. Without a doubt a great day marred only by Donningtons inefficient escape route and my sun-burn.
How good are these cars on the track!!! Gimme more.... only one bowel emptying moment and that was when I took a short cut off the M1 at J18 and took off over a hump back bridge landing the nose on my side of the road and the rear on the wrong side....talk about clenching! All in all 5 hours to get to the South side of the M25.......but it was worth it. Well done Renault.

how much was the total amount you spent on petrol ?

Half a tank there, filled up and still had a quarter tank by the time I got to Croydon....So about £60 I guess. Average mpg up on Saturday was 29 miles, but this slipped to 24 by the time we had done the track and sat in traffic on the way back. Not a drop of oil.

mine seems to just keep emptying my wallet.
To keep a average mpg at 29 is really good, were you putting special effort in... watching it all the time ?

Mine averages 25-26. then 23 on the bad days.
