does my sump need baffles?

my old baffles don't fit in to my new sump, do i need it and if so will renault know the part and supply it?

depends how you drive it but i,d say yes. and i,ll doubt renault will get the right part. try winston or mat brown first

how will someone know which is the right part for it?

think there,s only a few types. take photo,s of your sump the parts that don,t fit etc. think mat brown and winston now every part there is. plus maybe they could send you a few for not much money rather than renault charging you an arm and leg for one

it looks like the plastic bit in the sump is only there for the dipstick to fit into, it doesn't look like it would do much in the form of a baffle? or is it deffinitely essential?


Renault don't list the baffle sepperatly? so looks like it wouldcome with a new sump, shame mine didn't   :evil:

difficult to tell but i welded extra baffles in mine so i,m not the best person to ask. i stop the oil from moving around the sump and away from the pick up during hard corning, braking etc. pays your money makes your choice
