This was the main reason i got rid of the lecar turbo i had, people used to email me all the time saying they had what i needed, but i never heard from them again??Do we really want to help each other and keep these cars on the road??Or do we just want to mess each other about and rip each other off??

I feel your pain my friend, I live in Australia and its very hard to get basic things here for my 5. I think that this forum is not as active as it once was hence the difficulty in getting what you need. Only advise I can give you is translate what you need into French and scour the net...it's been working for me!

When I am after parts I first look here.
http://www.repuestosclassic.es/index.php?cPath=124
I then tend to do a county by country surch
using that countrys google and ebay engines etc.
I find that the countrys language is best, is is sometimes hard to find the exact local descriptions for things so I dont rush surching.
I found 2 years ago genuine Renault parts in Russia at the right price.
As I have a GD turbo and a Le Car turbo 99.9% of all the parts are the same, and when I got the Le car 4 yrs ago I started to build a parts colection of the harder to find parts, the reason being that I have no intention of selling them and want to pass them on to my twin boys who are R5 mad and they know that when I die or sooner that they are theirs, so have an interest in helping me.
Also as an investment, I have seen the value in the lest 2 years or so go up, not just the cars but the parts as well, some even doubling in value, better than a bank and more fun.
I would also rather buy at todays price and not tomorows.

P.S.

If some one needs my help, as I live in the center of France and speak French very well.
I will help as much aas I can.

HI,

What parts are you looking for? I have some stuff or can point you in the right direction for the rest of the parts.

I've had three people promising me parts,Phildini,Richard Turner, and Andrew,(but he had family issues at the moment which is understandable.)I've just never heard from them again.I'm just going to break it and stick all the parts on Ebay, its just getting too difficult to build up any kind of momentum to restore these cars.

Hi,

again what parts do you need everything is easily obtainable, at least list the whole car on an auction and let someone else have the opportunity to rebuild it.

You will struggle to sell most parts anyway all you will sell quickly is the engine.

It will probably sell as a complete car as is for about £600 maybe more one sold recently that was completely rotten for about that.
