Different tyre sizes

Morning all,

Now i'm pretty sure in the whole tyre scheme of things this has not been discussed, but i'm looking at getting the following sizes:

Front: 215/35-18

Rear 255/35-18

This if my predictions are correct should improve handling somewhat on track coupled with tyres with stiffer side walls and more surface area ;)

The rear according to tyre caculator things on the next are 2.6% out - to be honest I don't care about the speedo but I do care about fitment. I know the rims can handle 215/40 and 255/40, but i'm not sure what dropping the profile from 40 to 35 actually does in terms of sizing?

Charlie.

No problem with these sizes.
I used to run 255/35/18 and 215/40/18 on my Mk1 as these were nearest to standard for overall diameter.
KTec sold wheel/tyre sets with your chosen 255/35/18 , 215/35/18.

Perfect, thanks!

Once you get them fitted please report back on what you think as it's always interesting to know how alternative sizes feel [smilie=icon_cheers.gif]
