Detailing For French Car Show

What will you all be using (providing your cleaning your car!) to get your motor a glass like finish in all area's?

Is there a cleaner that can spray on and loosen the dirt before washing the actual car with shampoo?

I have heard that this cleaner is best for removing over polished mark's on rubber and plastic as it seem's that its been done before!

And does anyone have any recommendations on what polish to use before i put the gold class meg's wax on. Is the Meg's 3 step polish system any good i think it's called crystal paint or something?! Or what about the clay system is this something which is highly recommended?

All link's to products and name's of products welcome as i need to get this stuff within the next few week's so it's all done before the FCS.

I usually do the following

Meg's gold class shampoo
Dry with Meg's terry towel
Wax with gold class (megs)
Autosol Turbines
Tyre shine (megs)
Clean Glass (tesco glass cleaner  )
Autosol backbox
Back To Black (turtlewax)

Results are usually quite good but i want to get a good coat of polish on her and take it one step further than usual :P

Help!

Usually the following works well:

1. Hose down car to loosen grime

2. Megs nxt shampoo or Auto Glym bodywork conditioner (2 bucket method using a wash mitt)

3. Dry off using megs water magnet towels

4. Then take the megs quick clay detailer bar

5. Possibly some Poorboys Super Swirl Remover (SSR) either 1, 2, 2.5 or 3, just depends how much swirls your car has, but then again they dont really show up so well on Silver so you should be alright, very hard to get out by hand so a machine polisher is usually suggested.

6. Auto Glym Super Resin Polish

7. A Few coats of Auto Glym Extra Gloss Protection to seal

8.P21s Wax

9. Auto Glym engine and machine stuff on the wheel and Auto Glym clean wheels, either of these would be fine im sure, followed by a dressing of auto glym super resin polish and extra gloss protection, then apply the tyre gel, usually meguires tyre gel i use, but they dont differ that much.

10. Autosol for the exhaust

11. Auto glym Vinyl and Rubber care for the plastics

12. Auto Glym Window polish for the windows

That should do it ;)
