Date of “born” of Vee

Hi to all

I would like to ask you: is it possible to have a “born date /construction certificate” from Renault for one Vee? Or something similar that can report the exact date in which the car “born”?
I mean there’s obviously the “registration date” on the COC i.e.when the car have been registered , but how can i know exactly when the car have been built ?
As example: if i have a car registered in feb 2002, it would be high probable that this car “born” in 2001.

I’m asking this as in Italy when one car jump inside his “20 years” birthday , it’s considered “car of hystorical interest” , but to ask this certification it shall be considered not the “registration date” but the “construction date” as above.
Porsche , on request, can release (paying 180 euro...) the “Certificat of construction” thar officialize the “born” date of one car: is it possible to know something similar for the Vees?

Thanks in advance!

You could find out the month and year your Vee was manufactured if you ask your local Renault dealer to check on Renault's systems. They will need your car's VIN.

Renault does not have a facility to provide a Certificate of Authenticity (or Certificate of Production as I believe it is now) like Porsche do, or a Centro Documentazione facility that Alfa Romeo offer, where one can contact to obtain details of their cars.

As Dulan says, Renault have kept a record of the Month and Year of every car built and can give you a print out build sheet for your car, which has the full build spec on it.
Also for Phase 1s the build sheet also tells you the country that the car was originally built for.

If you want to just know the date (but not initially worried about the certificate), PM me the VIN and I can tell you as I have a spreadsheet with such details for every v6.

Can do it through the Renault UK website - the contact section and chat to someone online - used this a few times for importing cars to Canada. Takes 20 mins.
