Cool Saturday but Awesome Sunday

Awesome photos and a very clean V6...like what you've done with the exhaust, is removing the rear bumper tricky?

Also, please could you post details on getting Connects2 working with the standard HU? This is something I'd be very interested in doing!

Thanks Tim,

Rear bumper is tricky first time, I never realised you had to take the rear lights out as that’s where most of the bolts are. There are very helpful guides on here which I used.

In regards to the Connects2 very simple, I got mine so I can still use the steering wheel controls. Unfortunately it means you have to unplug the CD player. I have run the cable into the glove box so its all hidden away. Took me less than 15mins, essentially just plug and play

Hi Tim, im seem to remember you said you live 5-10 mins from Surrey rolling road so you must be very local to me? As its only 5-10 mins from me too!

If you need a hand or demo on how to take the bumper off, im happy to offer a hand. :approve:

sounds good im up for tagging along on the scottish trip if anyone has a spare seat, lol

its a bugger having a wedding to pay for a house deposit to save or id have another vee
by now.

Thanks for the reply - looks like I might have to get a Connects2 ordered then.

Is this the model you have?

Yes we must be fairly local.

Cheers for the offer, might have ago in June sometime when I will hopefully have a bit more freetime. Will give you a shout if I get stuck [smilie=thanks.gif]

Is that a tape player in your radio? [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

I have stayed in Oban a few times when we have gone up to start the 3 Peaks Challenge, and I remember thinking how beautiful it must be to drive around there. The train up was stunning enough (once you get up to the Lake District anyways), plus Oban seemed to stay light till 10pm!

Looking at the price of this one this won't work with the steering wheel controls but it will do the same job. Think you can control the volume however. Think new on the one I have is about £60 but I was able to find a second hand one so paid around what you have in the link. To be honest you could just make a playlist on your iphone/pod then just plug it in and then won't really need the controls.
