Cool Saturday but Awesome Sunday

Haven't posted many pictures of the V6 but I now have plenty!

Saturday consisted of the car going in for an MOT I was originally supposed to take the car to Renault Dunfermiline for a service aswell but they were busy. Decided to go with Rentec in Edinburgh, great bunch of guys and good chat. They also had a Renault Alpine in which a guy bought for £500 only has 52k on the clock. Anyways £30 for the MOT and all good :) No advisories and positive comments about how clean the V6 was.

Me and 2 mates had booked our Saturday to clean the car as we had access to a nice heated garage so decided to clean the car well. Unfortunetly I didnt get done what I wanted as I orderd new pads, IronX and polish plus a few other products to try but was relly dissapointed with cleanyourcar not showing up with the goods in time although on a supposed 48hr postal service. We decided to do what we could and everything was mainly done by hand. Process was as follows:

Pressure wash
Snow Foam - Zymol Natural Shampoo
G3 Detox Shampoo
Dried
Polsihed x2 - SRP
Waxed with Dodo Juice Diamond White
Glass polished with AG Polish
Dressings all done.

We also done the backbox as it was really faded and after seeing pictures on here what a diffrence! We used metal polish and a drill. Really pleased with this.

Here are some pictures from Saturday.

They are doing another run hopefully at some point. Since I got the V6 I havent done a big drive so it was really good and made me love it even more, I was wary of the handling if I'm honest but loved that it couldnt have been anymore dry. I haven't done much too it apart from spend a fortune on cleaning prodcuts, Karcher hoover/pressure washer etc etc lol but I have put fresh plates on, managed to source some genuine Ph1 mats and managed to get a Connects2 to allow the iPhone to work via the standard headunit.

I'm hopefully going to get a new exhaust and possibly change the steering wheel for a smaller one. May need to do a little blog.

Hope I dont crash the forum :race:

Route went for us Edinburgh > Dumbarton (meeting point) > Balloch > Aberfoyle > Dukes Pass (awesome) > Crainlarich (coffee stop at The Green Welly) > Connel Bridge just outside Oban (Stop for lunch) then headed back down towards Loch Lomond.

We just headed off after this as they were going to Cameron House, my intention was to go but the Aston Martin Vantage was really going for it so I lost him lol

Thanks mate, was pretty good having 3 SLR's on the go. I still have some on mine but just haven't uploaded them yet.

I have a mate who is very good with the camera so will need to go for a photoshoot soon.

that car looks so nice!!!! thanks for sharing the photos.

nice work on your exhaust too, so nice to see the shiney box through the rear grilles.

seeing them photos makes me think i seriously need to explore more of Scotland, it just looks breath taking. 8)

Glad to see you enjoyed your first PH run - always top days out and quite an array of interesting machinery in attendance. A little bird tells me your vee was drawing more than a couple of admiring glances ;)

Great pics Ben, recognise all the roads, Glencoe is amazing, pretty sure I have a similar pic on here.
I ride Dukes Pass all the time on my road bike, once had a convoy of Cobra's pass me...what a noise!

Next time your near Loch Lomond give me a shout.

Thanks for all the positive comments. No problem sharing the photos Duncan and thanks for putting your exhaust pics up as this is what me do it.

Roy, wish I had known, the weather was amazing we went past the entrance to Glencoe the road around there was amazing being inbetween the two mountains was really smart, made you feel tiny. I think Colin is trying to organise a Scottish meet so get your name down :)

Thanks Iain, think you have been on a few yourself? Think thats me addicted, some of the boys had plenty pennies though so cant be doing it all the time. What did you hear, please share? :)

Seems like a great day out, in the dry as well....

Some interesting motors for company. The Vee doesn't look out of place at all.

Great stuff. Thanks for sharing

The 6th and 7th Pictures are great, the car really shines. And good work on cleaning the exhaust up too :approve:.

Awesome! Best pics i've seen in a long while!

On a good day (Rare) Scotland is hard to beat! Also agree on the dukes pass!
