So Ive just pulled up in the car park @ my local gym. My journey of 3 miles has left me a little concerned, each time I turned the steering wheel to the left the red "stop" warning light and the red "!" flashed on and off very quickly a few times. There's no difference in the rest of the car

any advice would be greatly appreciated !!

If fitted, it could be a malfunctioning brake pad wear indicator sensor/wire. Just a thought. Hope it's an easy fix.

I've had my yellow stuff pads on front and rear for about 2 years now with about 6000 miles covered and they're still great.

Thats why im thinking it may not be the pads. Ive done 6000 miles in mine since i got her and they were new on then. I only do road miles and shes not driven particulary hard...

Gonna do the fluid first and see if it still persists.

Ps on the way home from the gym last night it didnt flash at all

I didn't think there were actually any electronic wear indicators on the pads anyway!? Even if there are on the pads, they're not connected IIRC.

The pads are thick to begin with and as they wear there is a significant drop in fluid long before the pads themselves are knackered. Hence, almost certain that that's the cause here! Typically on sweeping corners at even speed that the light will come on. In my case this has typically been a sweeping left where I leave the M3 and join the M27, and f*cking made me jump the first time that happened at 70-ish ;).

Haha ... tho' as any ClioSport member will tell you I'm actually 95, so if I was 70 it'd actually reduce the average age ;).

Glad you've managed to get it all sorted! Mossy to the rescue once more, for v6clio.net it seems.. [smilie=icon_cheers.gif]
