yeh i know , that was just the engine down there are still waiting to for results, cus as you can see there is no head gasket , they are checking it,, hopfully this thursday i will be there to see if there is any progress going on

I find it quite easy to belive as the dealer knows f all about the vee and i think ive heard other owners say the same thing

CONGRATULATE ME ,, THEY TOLD ME WHAT THE PROBLEM IS ,,, one was the water pump..next is the Valves, the valves there is a problem with cuz they have to order it from france. but in 2 weeks time it will be done !!!!

Any pictures of the valves ?

If they have burnt out what fuel are you using and maybe ignition set incorrectly.

Water pump does not effect the compression though. But the recommendation is to change at the same time as cam belt.

Make sure that you have new belts at the same time.

sure thing , and no still no pics i havnt been there the last weekend hopfully this weekend i will be there..what do you mean by the ignition set incorrectly ??

sorry for not updating the post , seriously busy last couple of days , did not go to the dealers but i have the pics of the bent valves post them soon , what i heard recently is that the engine is now all asembeled up and is ready to go in the engine..and i will be fitting the BMC before they fit the engine.

they say that it was a timming problem that made them hit with each othe ,, dont really get the them ??.......sure cam belt has been changed..but john isnt is strange for the valves to get all bendy ??

Some engines you are O.K. with if the belt breaks others you are not and the valves can hit the pistons.

If this happens you can hear when it happens.

It could have been worse and cracked or made a whole in the pistons.

I cannot remember regarding the V6 valves hit the pistons or not.

Some one will post and tell us.

Some times belt could have jumped one or more teeth giving you the same problems.

these engines will bend valves....
the water pump must have been howling to make the belt jump.
i think its more likely that the timing belt moved due to the variable valve timing pully. we have had this problem with a laguna.

Could it be the tensioner pulley ?

I agree I would be very surprised if it was sizure of the water pump caused the belt to jump.
