Apologies as I know there is plenty of very useful info on here regarding coils, but I was just wandering what the best make was and who to get them from currently and cost. Mine are ok but obviously want to carry a couple as spares.
Many thanks,
Steve.

I've got a couple from Peugeot recently using the part number above and have been supplied with Delphi coils I reckon. I'm hopeful they'll be good ones because they're fully resin sealed.

Hi
I am new to the forum but would like to know if anyone out there has changed a coil on a Mk1 - rear bank. If so, what do I remove for the easiest access having already removed all the panels and I am looking straight into the engine ready to go?

Hope you can help

Dave

Some quotes:

"i had no4 coil go on me today and of course it was one under the plenum chamber.all very easy to do if u have a bit of spare time on ure hands on a saturday it took me about one and a half hours the only difficult part was loosining the two 10mill nuts on the back rubber mountings."

"Mk1s however need to remove or slighty raise the inlet plenum as it covers the rear bank. "

"a coil went...one of the hard to reach ones under the inlet plenum"

"the MK 1 the plenham has to come off."
