its a pain in the arse first time you do it remove the seat much easier and dont go by the haynes manel imposs put the pedel togther insitu wont be able to hold it togther and put it in! spot on though when all done though :D

I got told by the Renault man that these are common on the clio`s, 19`s and stuff, it true.. how much for new un..

sorry to nick your thread buddy

I thought the parts for a new pedal and ratchet were about £25 or so direct from renault???

Bitch of a job to do though - nearly broke my back on the sill! Mega swearage was going on that day - changed the cable, then the clutch, to find out the problem was the pedal all along

Little tip - as said above, assemble the pedal completely with the spring on before you put it in. When you have it assembled, use 2 small sockets either end as bushes to hold it all together. Then just slide the assembly onto the shaft, and the bushes just get pushed out. That was the only way i managed to do it after half an hours fiddling and swearing!

yeah could be a bought so many f***king parts recently starting to loose track wot costs wot
