Lol,

But it would let you know if it's the head or bottom end!

Big difference between rebuilding them!!

It hasnt moved for 2 years but then I drove it for mot 6 miles or so still smoked, but its got alot better since in daily use. But its got a missfire under load at high revs so hopefully its the usual stuff

Rightyo, the smoke not a problem anymore fixed itself ! New problem it holds back and starts missing at high rpm at heavy load, pulls reallly well to about 4500 5000 rpm.then its flat and stays at the same rpm and has a pop or two. I changed the plugs leads cap rotor etc as they were fooked anyway I knew it wasnt the problem but it wouldnt of helped. I.have a suspision of fuel.starvage? Ideas much apprech...

Right changed the fuel reg and map sensor as they were a 5 min job the stuff came of my 19 which i knew was all good, but it made no difference.

Got a quick vid its very shit quality but i hope u get the jist

looks flat as, then again mines remapped :D

done sparky leads plugs and fuel filter checked rotor arm and cap (maybe buy new of CLEAN them) as well after its been laid up so long? probs just all coked up inside :p vpower and big run? :D

yeah thats poor.

rail change etc doesn't rule out the pump... When was the filter last done?

For it to come on suddenly something has broken, whether that's the pump, ignition module struggling or a dodgy wire remains to be seen.

Check the crank sensor is tight

exactly that video was up a hill though lol

since then ive changed the filter had some shit unknown make on it, and replaced the crank sensor for one i had sitting around. still the same when i tried it.......... will try another ignition module on it when i can be bothered and when it stops raining.

Could it possibly be a ecu fault? only spare one i got is a ph1 19 1.8 16v one will it run on it for a trial?

1.8 ecu will work for a test

most likely a failed component or broken wire if it came on suddenly

Well it pulls so well up to the 4-5 k area its not always the same place but its a pain in the arse when you have to short shift to overtake someone !!!

Ill keep this thread updated anyway....
