I've got a bit of a hankering for a Clio Williams..will you lot disown me if I get something without a turbo?

Any comments, anything to watch out for? Can't afford a '1' and don't want a sunroof so will probably look for a 'number 2'

I have a 1994 clio williams 2, but has a sunroof.
It has something like 170 bhp with fastroad cams and is plenty of fun, never regretted buying it. Only thing that misses is a turbo or a supercharger
It's not easy to find good one's, wanted one without sunroof, but this one was the best i could find.

Thanks for that...maybe my information is incorrect or relative only to UK. No sunroof is my preference anyway but not 100% I will get one yet as they are pretty scarce (or scarce for 'reasonable' money)

I have fond memories of driving a caged clio williams3. Lowered the torsion bar for a mate and showed him a bit of intentional lift off oversteer on test drive. The look on his face was priceless

I think some Williams bits & pieces on this would go well. Standard brakes are on it AFAIK, and suspension is lowering springs (of an unknown make) up front, and AVO shocks on the rear. Assuming i keep it, room for improvement I think even if just at the front end.

Alloys look in good nick, like the 1.2 badge
