Id be very cautious about it, once they have had a smack often they are never the same. IMO There's better cars out there for less money that have not been written off at some point.

Oh Dear what have I done! : )
Iv'e been and bought this Phase 1(well deposit)
Completely new to the Vee' Scene, viewed a few before this one and wemt over it for sbout sn hour, Well impressed with it , exceptional condition all over, could only find a little bit of overspray around drivers door lock, I couldn't fault it to be honest, interior was mint and even smelt like new!
Just waiting for the nockers now

To be fair, if you have looked over it very closely (took the under bonnet tray out and looked around the inner panel work to look for twists and dodgy repairs), took it for a small test drive and everything seems as it should then don't threat too much. Everything mentioned on here is speculation to a point. For all you know, it could have had alot of expensive work done to a great standard. This would reflect on your personal veiws of it being a sqeeky clean.

Well that's a positive response Cheer's,
Im no expert but I aint no mug, I took a torch with Me and crawelled all over it, couldnt find anything that hit you in the face that to say beware, no overspray on any of the suspension, nothing, no new parts,still got original exhaust, to be honest it looked like a car that had covered 7,000 miles

Glad to hear it checked out ok!!

For reference, the second half of my comment was made mainly at its original asking price, which at the time was nearly double the other cars on the market. I noticed this had come down a lot to a more tempting price.

Sounds like you have given it a good check, along as it drives ok, then thats the important bit!!

At least having viewed a few others, you have a good reference point.

That was my line also, seemed to work too as she actually want me to keep it.
