Clio mk 1 Airbag went off!!!

What the ..... my side airbag in the seat went of entering the car!
Anybody now what can make this happen!

Car hit me in the side and scared the crap out of my 2 year old daughter..

I have no idea. Have you tampered or removed an alarm or something recently?

Jes i Removed a viper alarm Yesterday but pretty basic removal.. cant understand what can have caused the interference??

What i now is that i have been under the steering column for the alarm removal, basic/clean removal done with the battery disconected. The airbag went of 14 hours later this morning. (Have been driving the car in this period.)

Any airbag sensors in that area?

Also when i am entering and exiting the car i put pressure for suport in the same area where the side airbag in the seat is located.

I have no service indicator in the dash after the airbag went off.

Anybody now where the sensors are located?

Airbag sensors under the seat I believe? They used to be a problem and people had to wiggle the wires occasionally

Strange wiring steering column

Striped the connectors under the seat. They are looped with a small resistor..(but still connected to the seats??!) only point i can se doing this is if the car did have aftermarked seats before.

I still dont understand what triggered it to go of.

Do the trigger signal go trough those cables?
