Clio Clio 182 Trophy back to oem(ish)

sort some more stickers then steve and ill chuck one on there (y)

ok results in, a little issue with the ht clip ment i couldnt get a decent rpm signal to the dyno so tried it with the obd port. graph is a little out as it shows the limit being at 7100 because of this.

Any way 197.4bhp and 162.7 lbf.ft, not bad going, getting so close to the magic 200. I think a retime of the cams, new dephaser and a proper remap should get me there. its not slow or shy, defo a quick car now. from last time, it has gained bhp and torque up to 4100rpm looses a little from there to 5300rpm and then gains again to the redline.

Sounds like a plan, can you do a staged twin setup? So I can run the first flap early in the revs then open a second later on in the revs?

looking at it and talking with people at work the torque is the only thing measured on the dyno, the revs are incorrect so (grasping at straws here) if the torque is correct at the rev limit and i adjust the calculation to the correct peak revs the car makes 208bhp at the rev limit........ win lol

bit of maintenance, noticed one of the track rod ends had a fair bit play in it, so fitted up a new one, needs tracking up though i got it near enough bang on.

i had it explained to me there that the transmission losses read high due to the fact that its setup to run and read with 4 contact patches rather than 2? could be bull i don't know?

It's a bit of a pig to get your head around it the first time you use it but after that it's OK. You need flat ground to use it too.
Also when I use it, I set it up, drive up the road and back again and do it again, [repeat several times] until i'm getting consistent readings every time I calibrate. Takes about 30mins every time. The only negative is adjusting the track without the car in the air...you need bendy arms lol

So not much done recently, fitted some 16mm front spacers to the car so the wheels fill the arches a little more and it gains a little more width. Set of clio 197 cams have been paid for so they will be there ready for when i do the dephaser and belts (y) will need to look into the cam timing required to make them work but a decent upgrade without the outlay of many £100's
