Hey guys, my first tech q here .
Well after getting the car back on the road (1992 clio 1.4 rt) after it sitting for 2 years all was well for the first day , then yesterday on my way top work the idle speed increased quite alot , would not drop bellow 1700rpm and sometimes even 2000 rpm, during my lunch hour i removed the airbox and wound the throttle stop screw all the way out so i know the valve closes all the way and does not get jammed on anything like that also had a quick look around for any air leaks etc.. That seemed to work and sorted the idle issue , untill late at night after a 2 hour journey it started doing the exact same again. I know the first thing to to is to remove and clean the throttle body out properly but wanted to know if the tps or anything like that needed to be reset after this. It seems to do it every now and again as it seemed fine this morning. Also , is the fuel system cleaning stuff worth a go ? As i'v read some good and bad things about those products. Excuse the lack of technical know how as this is my first car and i'm normally a bike man .
Many thanks
