Clio 1.2 TCE 2010 Drive Belt Query

Hi guys,

You will know the answer to this, I have a 2010 Clio 1.2 TCE, need to swap the drive belt on it, is it an auto or manual tensioner?

Any other useful info I may require as other than basic servicing and tightening up stuff she's been reliable and I've hardly looked at it.

Manual tensioner, the pulley climbs up and down teeth on a mounting bracket.

Hmmm, the last belt I fitted was on a 21 turbo during an alternator change about 18 years ago lol

Anyone know the male hex bolt size?

From the looks of things I need to hold the main nut with a spanner, 20mm or so at a guess.

Then turn the hex bolt to take of the tension, i think?

Only if its a spring tensioner.

I've no idea mate, got other issues as well now, need new brake shoes, one of the auto adjusters has jammed the show on, and it's trashed.

The belt was easier to change on the C63!
