I'm looking to get the cambelt & water pump done on my vee very soon (mk1 on 29k)

Is it worth getting the clutch done too ??
I don't launch the car hard, but I do give it some beans sometimes from the lights, not going mad with it though.
The dude I bought it from had it for four years & wasn't the sort of person do give the car some stick.

Is worth getting it done while the engine etc is out of the car ?

Or is it overkill ? It would probably cost about £200 all in.

Thanks.

If I remember the clutch is only about £70 and it was well easy to fit...30 minute job if the engine is out.

Do it...saves loads of time in the long run.

That sorts that then [smilie=icon_thumleft.gif]

Just out of interest, what make is the standard clutch ??

It's come back at £250 ish for the clutch [smilie=doubt.gif] (standard unit) quoted at one hours extra labour.

I think that that's a bit on the high side tbh, am I right ?
