Finding an old PDI sheet & service book (with a lot of my own hand writing in the required sections) in a Clio the other day has got me thinking is there any more of my handy work out there still from past gone days.
So who has still got some of the original supplying dealer documents for their Renault and who supplied it?
And which Renault dealership did most of the servicing in the early days of the cars life?
Going have to say before January 2006 vehicles only so please list,

5 of my previous 21's have had all their paperwork......my current one has bundles with it. My first E-plate was sold by Radbourne and they serviced it up to 100k. My second was sold by a dealership in the Bournemouth area and never went far throughout its life, was serviced by 2 dealerships about 30miles apart if memory serves me. I bought it from Basingstoke.

Current one was sold in London, to Nomura Bank and was serviced by that dealership until sold on to a member of staff, it was dry stored for about 7 years where it was then picked up by an old 21toc member, it wasnt with him long when Lewis21 bought it, he stripped it bare bought BOB and at 77k I brought it back to life. The clocks currently show 80k and that appears genuine and consistent with service life. Only thing on the car that has done 80k now thought is shell and PAS pump - everything else is no more than 3k old.

Excellent, I do like a read up on where its spent its life.

As for the car

depending on year there were 3 Renault dealers in the area that proberly sold the most likely would have been Olympian Automotive the same group that supplied mine & at least six others between 1988 -1989.

My 5 was supplied by red lion garage (Barnes Ltd), mortlake. Then serviced by blackboys service station, uckfield up to 72k.
It is nice to go back through the old documents and see where it has been and what's been done throughout its life!
I'm trying to find out a bit(with not much luck) about the supplying garage so I can get some original plates made up.

I take it everyone is aware of the DVLA service to obtain previous V5 / history on your car?

It is a must for anyone who has not completed it, for £5, you will be sent copies of your car V5, showing all previous owners, If you are then in real anorak mode combined with a stalking theme you can write to previous owners who may share more infor with you, or alternatively they may report you to the police! As long you write on the DVLA form you are an enthusiast etc, all infor will be with you in a few weeks, priceless infor. My car started its life in Essex, now in Derby

Looking at the first registration doc for my R5 Gordini, it does state the supplying dealer in order to licence the car for the first owner

Megan the Megane
CX04VGC
Supplied new as Dealer Demo, 13/4/04..... actually 2 weeks before the official launch.... (guess it should of gone in the showroom for a few weeks!!!!!!) to Speed Six Renault where @quadrastu and I worked

at first I bloody hated it!!! just didn't take to the colour or the front bumper

Stared at it for 1 month.......
bought it!!!!!! (at a massive saving) have the original bill of sale, all the brochures, and the dealer CD to help sell them!

First Service @ Lookers in Chester by @quadrastu @ 18k
was about to trade it for a Trophy, but Mrs Moggy didn't like the trophy colour..... so bought a V6 Clio in Mars Red for her! and kept Megan the Megane!
and at 67k, she's been serviced every 18months (as she never makes the 18k miles service) by the local Renault Specialist which is a 5min walk from my house, as Speed Six Renault shut in 2006 (well i lasted a few years more but i wouldn't trust them with a model car) and I fell out with the service manager at lookers for being a nob!

in her life.....
was the only RS225 at the WSR at donnington in 04 (even Renault didn't bring one) and more photos where taken of the megane than my Turbo 2 :-(

between 2005-2007 did more miles in France than in the UK :-/
Took Mrs Moggy and I to Paris.... when we got engaged

Took Mrs Moggy and I to Paris again for our honeymoon

Finally in 2014 did a lap of the 'Ring.... and the same weekend we found out that Moggy Jnr will be joining us!

Is currently polished, serviced, and has had the trail seat fitting..... and is waiting for the day in June when Megan will bring Moggy Jnr home....

I think this one is a keeper!!!! ;-)

Although, I've just looked and i'm the 3rd Keeper...... then Mrs Moggy said... DUH!
DEALER ------ HER ------ ME.......

I thankfully got most of the previous owners history with the car.
It was originally registered in Stratford Upon Avon on 12/03/1992 as J98 KOR and was a company car for Renault. Then after a year's service it was sold on 18/03/1993 in Manchester to a chap from Bearsden in Glasgow (Posh area) who put a private plate on it GRJ 953, he kept the car from 1993 then sold it in 15/09/1995 with 42.573miles on it.
A Mr McGregor from Helensburgh bought the car in Stirling on what I think was 26/09/97 with 55k on the clock and with the plate J605 LGB which it wears now, why did it not go back to J98 KOR ??? ... .
Then a Mr Graham in Dumbarton bought it although I am unsure of the date he purchased it but the service book shows he owned it at 64k on 28/07/99. There is 2 other owners that I know of who's names are not on the docs I have. One is a guy who owns a car dealership in Kirkcaldy, he had 2 21t's in his personal collection, mine and a Tungsten Ph1, he used one at Knockhill race circuit and one he kept safe, i would love to tell you that mine was the 21 he kept tucked away, but it wasn't.
The final previous owner was a young lad called Alan McGraw from Glenrothes and it was him that had it before me, he turned the boost up and killed it, so he traded the 21 into Calder Motor Cars in East Calder and thats when my time with the car begun. I went to view it and all seemed ok so i handed over the £1200 asking price and all was well for a few weeks until it started mis-firing and thats when we discovered the liners where cracked ... so after discovering the 21toc and speaking with Roger Hewitt a new block was ordered and fitted, and now 13yrs later its still with me and that new block has only turned 37k miles. I'll never part with it now.

The Autotrader add was wrong.
The price was £1200 or £1250, the milage was 77k, the TSW wheels were 16" and not 17" .. and all them were buckled, they would shake your fillings out at 55mph.
