If it ain't broke, leave well alone! They are not a service item so only need to be changed when they are shotand you will know all about it when they are!! :approve:

But if they go, don't you need engine out and new cambelt fitted, pal?
You would probably change the belt if was due in the forseeable future but the dephasers should not damage the belt. Jury is out on whether you need the lump out for dephasers or not. At £900-00 a pair it seems madness to change them just for the sake of it if they might last for another 100k. Might be something more obvious to buy and put on the shelf for 'just in case' or an investment to clear the mortgage in twenty years time!

Hello, Not sure if this is the correct part of Clionet to post a question for some help but my query is belt related, so here goes..... I have a new squeaking noise on the Vee between 3,500 and 4,500 RPM. Sounds like an alternator belt. Should I be worried? The service history shows that the Cam belt VVT pulley and Aux belts were done by K-TEC back in Sept 2015. Anyone have similar experience. While I'm on the scrounge for info, does anyone know where you can get new centre hubs for the alloys on the Vee - OEM. Just had alloys done and the garage is struggling to source new ones. Cheers All. Peter

Also check that they did the water pump, did they change the idlers and tensioners on both belts? All of these can cause noises, is the aux belt tight? As Kett says, RPD for OEM centres, not cheap!! There are however copies on Fleabay from China for a fraction of the cost, just check the measurements carefully before ordering :approve:
