BMC Induction Kit Fitting Issue

Andy V6

New Member
I'm fitting my induction kit and where i've taken off the existing air box and removed the 90 degree bend part the hose i'm left with that I fit to the induction kit is the same size as the BMC filter where it connects.

So it can't be pushed inside and it can't go over the top of the other pipe to secure? It's doing my head in.

any ideas? those who fitted it did you need another pipe? I bought this and all I got was this and a pipe to replace the air feed into the vent

Think most peeps on here put the BMC on at the throttle body end direct then got a small piece of the cold air feed pipe and slotted it inside the existing air feed and put a jubilee clip around it like in Andys pics, its just abit of trial and error really.

Hope the pics help a little bit.

I managed to fit it the other way round, sounded quite good but if it's supposed to go the other way it won't fit.

I'm not going to bodge it or go cutting pipe so i'll have to wait a few days on it.

The diameter of the connections is 3" both sides so i'm just going to order up a 3" in length piece of silicone pipe off ebay thats 2 & 3/4" in diameter to be the go between and fasten together with jubilee clips either side.

Ok well I got this fitted today (the correct way round) and took it for another spin.

To be honest still sounded the same :) anyway first time I drove with the covers off and thought although very loud I didn't like it as sounded like the engine was going to explode or something :D

Put the covers back on now and prefer the induction sound with the covers on.

Nice and quiet to 3,700rpm then it seems to kick in and roar!

Just need to sort exhaust next and my new wheels arrived today so the normal ones are now off for a refurb in a different colour.
