Sorry, this will be some none Vee-related content.
Some of you may or may not know that I bought a 993 a few years back as a running project. It was cheaper than the rest being high mileage and having a lot of known 993 issues; namely rust and very tired suspension. But I wanted a blank canvas.
Having seen the 996 GT2 in his workshop when picking up the Vee once, I asked if he wanted to work on mine. We hatched a plan at ORS to bring the car back to spec, which included working on; chassis, suspension, brakes, and a lot more.
Massive thanks to Scott for making the process fun throughout; with great sacrifice to his hands and time. It's not been inexpensive, but worth every penny with Scott making great calls on what parts to use, and where, to buy them. This includes Bilstein dampers, Eibach springs, Porsche M030 arb kit. I've also had the wheels painted in GT2/3 gold which I love against the green!
The car is not just improved, but honestly feels like a different one. I'll share one photo of the finished product from his FB page...and point you in that direction if you want to see what horrible chassis rust looks like...
This is the second non-Vee/Renaultsport Scott has worked on for me, and I plan to bring him some more interesting stuff in the future.
Have a great Christmas/New Year everybody!
