i just ran my code checker on it and 2 errors occured, catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 1 and catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 2. would these have anything to do with it or would my janspeed be causing these.

i did the stalk test as well these are my results

All the lights lit (shows if you have a failed LED).
The amount of fuel left in the tank in liters: 11 LITRES
Fuel flow (the engine has to be running. This is in liters per hour: ON IDLE 1.2-1.4
Stored faults: NO STORED FAULTS

YES IT DOES "JUST UNSCREW"
however its very difficult to get it going, if you use a hammer there is a BIG chance it will split, dont worry though they are only £29 +vat !!! there is a tendancy for the unit to rotate also, this must be prevented or you WILL rip the level sender off the bottom, these are about £430, oh dear! i have made a tool to make unscrewing the ring a one handed job, so with the other you can prevent it rotating. you are welcome to borrow this but i need it back.
before removing the pump you must check the pressure as it cannot be tested off the vehicle, i do have a rig for this also but am loathed to post this out as parcel farce will back a truck over it and i will get 10p compensation.........
so i need to come to you or you to me! oh, and yes i do have a spare pump.
now the good news:
if you have the cover off the filter change is easy. let the pressure off the system, engine cold, using the schrader valve on top of the engine, the two pipes on the filter have push in clips, these will slacken off with no pressure in the system so push the buttons in and just pull the pipes off! cloths are handy to catch all the fuel in, refit in reverse noting the flow arrow of the filter points towards the outside of the car. no need to put the hatch back to roadtest, and let us know.
as i said , if you are unsure i am happy to buzz over but i dont want it costing me anything, i am not after wages but i hope with todays fuel prices you'll understand, spike.

ahhh, where is the best place to get a fuel filter from? i had a look on renault parts direct but they had nothing.

i will get the fuel filter changed 1st then if i continue with the problem we could arrange something pal an you could come have a look at her.

i see the fuel pump itself isnt a cheap unit!!

SOUNDS GOOD. most motor factors or discount shops will be able to get you the filter, stick with a name, fram bosch mann etc, fram one is slightly smaller and in ally, bosch one is plastic and is original equipment, try andrew page factors, or even your local reno dealer they will get it next day,
cannot help with part numbers but i bet james can,
will your await results.

7700845961 fuel filter. Under £20

Renaultpartsdirect should get you one very quickly (from their parts dept) the online shop just doesn't show everything.

sorry i missed this post, but no its not the janspeed but exactly as i quoted in an earlier post, the fuel is piss weak and causing an out of range signal to be reported by the lambda, the lambda cannot report the fuel mixture as its way out of its normal spec, notching a fault code. its amazing how many times i've seen this and stupidly the lambdas get changed when there is nothing wrong with them. the weak mixture is being caused by low pressure or poor flow. QED.
back to solitaire then...........

i will get one ordered right away! if that doesnt help looks like a pump may be needed gentlemen [smilie=doubt.gif]

better get some overtime in to pay for one!
