went to santa pod yesterday on the way up there i stopped at a give way, my bro in his mg behind desided to use me as his brake done some damage!!! i have a mk 2 mars red. the boot has been dented in the left rear has got deep cracks in the fibre glass you can see the white fibre glass behind the paint the plastic grill on the left is broke in bout 20 pieces. basically i wanna know how much the parts are:

HOW MUCH ??
rear left grill by exhaust
boot
rear bumper
rear left wing!!!

i can only hope that i can find someone who can do really good fibre glass repairs.
im just trying to wrk out the worst case senorio the annoying thing is me and my bro are on a traders policy so we cant really claim 2 cars!!

Gutted to hear what has happened Lee - but, if its any help i think i can help you in fixing your vee

Your only in Staines bud so get on the phone to Waldeck Bodyshop in Hanworth in Middlesex - they have just done an amazingly bloody good repair job on the fibreglass bodywork of my mk2 vee after i had my spin in March and damaged the rear bumper and a small amount of fibreglass plus they also fully resprayed the car while it was there and it now looks like it came straight from the factory floor [smilie=cool.gif]

Heres their details

Waldeck Bodyshop
Hanworth Trading Estate
Hampton Road West
Hanworth
Middlesex
TW13 6DH

Tel - 0208 7551850

Parts are not cheap though as i found out when i enquired @ renault - the plastic exhaust grilles are about £120, bootlid around £300 but usually any dents can be removed/pulled out, rear bumper is a shocking £1200, wing around £900 but as i said i had damage to my passenger rear arch and Waldeck repaired it without having to resort to a new wing :D

It may also be worth looking for a front end damaged vee and using the parts from the rear if you're looking to keep costs down

Waldeck also did a full respray on my Focus RS ready for the show season this year and the work on that was impecable as well :D

thanks for the quick reply and info. sounds good to me. ill check them out on tuesday. i can only hope i dont need new panels!!

The fibreglass on my rear arch looked very badly damaged and i had budgeted for a new wing but the specialist @ waldeck said it was easy to repair - that probably saved me the best part of £1500 including the price of a new wing, fitting, labour, etc

he good news i got a quote only 350 quid alot better than i thought.lucky i know a few body shop repair people. its getting fixed on friday and hopefully it will be as good as new

£350............... bl**dy hell............. you must be in with the right people :approve: :approve: :D :D
