Was just going through my old receipts, and remembered that I really ought to mention which battery I bought for the V6, when the original Renault one died the death...
I checked all the aftermarket battery suppliers (Halfords, Bosch, Varta etc) and they all recommended a replacement battery with completely different dimensions and ratings to the original Renault one, and were costing between £70-80 for a calcium one.
However I found that the Bosch 7E Silver Calcium battery is the closest to the original Renault one (even though Bosch don't list the 7E for the Clio V6). It has the same dimensions, and a slightly higher rating. Anyway it's been on for 8 months without any problem.
Plus, it costs just £40 in Costco!
Hopefully this may help someone when it's battery change time!
